Bienvenue sur le blog du NORMANDY MEMORY CLUB, association à but non lucratif, dont le seul objectif est de faire perdurer le devoir de mémoire envers ces hommes tombés au champ d'honneur pour que chacun vive... LIBRE. 

    Le NORMANDY MEMORY CLUB s'est axé sur le second conflit mondial et plus particulièrement sur la 4th division d'infanterie US qui débarqua sur Utah beach un certain... 6 juin 1944.   Qui peut se rendre sur les lieux de cet incroyable épisode du conflit, s'apercevra que cette fameuse division qui participa avec la 2e Dividion Blindée du Général LECLERC à la libération de Paris et ses alentours, n'est l'objet que de peu d'intérêt.

     Dans une moindre mesure, nous représentons également la 101st Airborne Division, qui également participa au débarquement du D-Day sur la même zone. 

    Outre la reconstitution, notre activité est principalement basée sur le devoir de mémoire à proprement dit, à savoir diverses commémorations en des lieux de recueillement, mais également en participant aux "FLEURS DE LA MEMOIRE" en déposant régulièrement une gerbe de fleurs sur la tombe d'un soldat de la 4th US ID.

       Vous trouverez donc sur ce blog divers articles  de nos sorties (Normandie, Bastogne...) y compris les photos s'y rapportant (Cliquez sur ALBUM en fin d'article), des liens de sites que nous jugeons intéressants, mais également des news signalant par exemple la parution d'ouvrages traitant de la seconde guerre mondiale et plein d'autres choses.           Welkom op het blog van de Normandy Memory Club N.M.C. Wij zijn een
vereniging zonder winstoogmerk en ons
enige doel is de plicht om de herinnering aan de gesneuvelden op het veld
van eer te laten voortbestaan zodat iedereen
in VRIJHEID mag leven.

De N.M.C. is gericht op het tweede wereldoorlog gebeuren en in het bijzonder
de 4th US Infantry Division welke
aan land ging op Utah Beach een zekere......6 juni 1944. Degene, die de
plaatsen van die ongelofelijke episode van deze
oorlog gaat bezoeken, zal wellicht opmerken, dat deze bijzondere divisie,
welke deelnam, samen met de Tweede Pantser Divisie
van generaal Leclerc, aan de bevrijding van Parijs en omgeving, minder
aandacht heeft gekregen dan verdiend.

In mindere mate vertegenwoordigen wij ook de 101th Airborne Division, welke
ook deelnam aan de de landingen op
D-Day in dezelfde zone, maar dan vanuit de lucht.

Behalve re-enacting, is onze bezigheid voornamelijk gericht op de plicht van
herinnering, te weten, verschillende herdenkingen
op historische plaatsen, maar ook het deelnemen aan" FLEURS DE LA MEMOIRE"
het neerleggen van een bloemkrans
op het graf van een soldaat van de 4th ID. US.

die wij interessant vinden en ook "News" over

   Welcome to the Normandy memory Club website. Our association is without any lucrative aim; its ontly purpose is to remember all these soldiers dead on the battlefield to defend their country and to permit, in the future, a free life to everyone.

   The Normandy memory Club is mainly interested  in the world war two, and above all of the 4th US infantry division "IVY division" wich landed on Utah beach on the so famous sixth of June 1944.

   If you, nowaday, go the land where this incredible conflict took place, you will notice that this important division wich was also involved int the liberation of Paris with the division of general LECLERC, is nearly ignored.

   We are also interested i the 101st airborne division wich took part int the D-DAY, landing in the same place.

   Our duty is, of course, to remember all those events, but our association  participatesat different commemoration in this land of meditation as for example" Flowers of the memory" in laying a wreath on the tomb of soldier of the fourth US ID.
